DescriptionDogwood Industries is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Superintendent to join the Everett, WA factory. The Superintendent
will act as the key link between hourly workers and the Production
Manager, ensuring that all production activities are coordinated
and executed to maximize productivity, quality, and safety in panel
assembly operations and ultimately shipping products on-time to
customers. This role is critical in providing supervision,
leadership, and direction to the crews, ensuring all workers
understand their roles, responsibilities, and expectations. As a
key team member of the Everett factory, the Superintendent will be
the point person for tactical execution activities.Duties &
ResponsibilitiesCrew Leadership and Coordination:Direct and oversee
daily activities of crews to ensure high-quality and timely
production of panelsServe as the single point of contact for the
tactical coordination of all hourly workers, streamlining
communication between crews and the Production ManagerAssign tasks
to Assembly Foremen and workers based on skill set and workload to
optimize productivityDevelop and implement daily work plans to meet
production schedules and adjust plans as needed to accommodate
changes or unforeseen challengesFoster a culture of teamwork,
accountability, and continuous improvement among crew membersOther
duties and responsibilities as requiredQuality Assurance:Enforce
adherence to quality control standards and production
specifications to ensure all work meets Dogwood's high
standardsIdentify and address any quality issues promptly to
prevent defects and reworkCollaborate with the Quality Assurance
team to implement corrective actionsSafety:Maintain a safe work
environment by enforcing company safety policies and
proceduresConduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to
reinforce safe work practicesImmediately address any unsafe work
conditions or behaviors, taking corrective action as
necessaryTraining and Development:Provide hands-on training and
coaching to assembly workers to develop their skills and improve
overall performanceMentor less experienced workers, fostering
learning and encouraging professional growthEnsure all crew members
are trained on proper use of tools, equipment, and safety
proceduresRequirements:RequirementsProven experience in a
supervisory or foreman role within a manufacturing or assembly
environmentStrong leadership and communication skills with the
ability to effectively manage a team of hourly workersDemonstrated
ability to plan, organize, and direct work activities to meet
production goalsSolid understanding of quality control principles
and safety standardsHands-on experience with assembly processes,
preferably in a steel manufacturing environmentAbility to read and
interpret shop drawings and technical specificationsHigh school
diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade certifications
are a plus.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThe physical
demands described here are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and
lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various
positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing,
bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or
feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb
stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull
and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be
able to lift 70 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop
elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position
requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily
activities in a primarily production environment. The work
environment characteristics here are representative of those an
employee encounters while performing the essential functions of
this job.Compensation$42.00 - $49.00 depending on experience and
