Job Description:

*Essential Functions:** Documents correctly in the medical record and field chart. Identifies and acts appropriately in code situations.* Applies professional skills to patient care; communicates and follows through on the treatment plan.* Coordinates patient care with the appropriate services.* Conducts comprehensive evaluations.* Designs and implements therapy/treatment plans.* Operates treatment devices appropriately.* Provides education to families and other providers.* Performs a complete assessment.* Teaches patients in identified areas of need and evaluates response.* May assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices.* Maintains ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work.* Communicates effectively and cooperatively in the workplace.* Actively contributes to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.* Completes all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner.* Maintains current registration and/or certification as required.* Attends and actively participates in all department, team and/or committee meetings.*Education:** Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.*License/Certificaton:** Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Washington within 6 months of hire.* Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare provider BLS required.*Experience/Training:** Previous experience working in an acute hospital and/or nursing home is recommended.Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week.
