TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Psych RN in Seattle, Washington, 98104 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Unit Job Specialty: Behavioral Health Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not Specified Experience: 2 Years Required License: Compact License or Washington Single State Acceptable Certifications: Basic Life Support (CPI Preferred) Must-Have: - Strong Behavioral Health Experience - EPIC Experience Preferred but Not Required - Ability to Work Every Other Weekend Job Description: - Provide high-quality care for patients with mental illness in a psychiatric setting. - Float between various units as necessary, including: - 5WA: Least acute unit with 21 beds. Approximately 50% involuntary patients, with some group programming. - 5WB: 25-bed unit with some programming. - 5MB: Most psychiatrically acute unit, 21 bed unit for observation and stabilization with limited programming. - Handle patients demonstrating violent or assaultive behaviors and those needing intensive monitoring due to psychiatric crises. - Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protocols. - Maintain accurate patient records using Epic system. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. - Participate in two orientations per month specific for registered nurses. - Complete assigned modules pre-start, except for the EPIC module which is completed during orientation.
