Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: CVICU Job Duration:
Flexible commitment within 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour
(19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum
of 2 years of CVICU experience and travel experience required
License: Compact license accepted; please indicate the status of
the state license as active, in process, or no license on your
profile. For "in process status," please provide the applied date
and estimated issue date. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, CRRT
Prismaflex required Must-Have: - CVICU and open-heart experience -
Experience with devices like IABP, Prismaflex, Impella, ECMO, or
LVAD preferred - Strong traveler for a unit with less seasoned
staff Job Description: - Accepting first-time travelers with a
pending state license - Expected availability for 3 out of 5 major
holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve,
New Year's Day - Four days of orientation with validated skills
required for some competencies - Special equipment includes
vasopressors, balloon pumps, and CVVH/Prismaflex - Option to commit
less than 26 weeks - Submission requires two supervisory references
covering at least one year of employment in a comparable
specialty/setting - Floating expectations to other units within
scope of practice, with transportation responsibility on the
traveler - Required to complete non-billable modules pre-start and
annually, self-reported completion recorded in Workramp transcripts
Patient Diagnoses: - Cardiovascular disease - Pre/post Cath Lab and
IR procedures - Fresh open-heart surgery Special Procedures: -
CABG, OHS, AAA, valvular repairs - IABP, Impella, VADs, pacemakers,
epicardial pacer management - CRRT/dialysis - Hemodynamic
monitoring - Breathing treatments, chest tube set-up/care,
CPAP/BiPap, trach care, vents - High-frequency vents, procedure
sedation, RSI drugs - Blood/blood products administration -
Cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming - Obtain 12 Lead EKG
Staffing Ratio: 1:1-2 Housing resources are available for
travelers. COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious
