  • Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse position available
  • Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
  • Orientation for this unit will be held bi-weekly on Tuesdays
  • Shift: 3x12 Days 0700-1930
  • Ratios: L&D: 1:1 & 1:2 MBU 1:3-4 couplets
  • Types of Cases: Labor / Delivery/Recovery/ Postpartum Care/ Newborn and Adult care.
  • Any special procedure done on the unit? Nurse must be able to work both L&D, MBU and care and recover a newborn post-delivery and in the postpartum period
  • Usual care for a labor and delivery, antepartum and postpartum unit. VBAC/TOLAC, Hypertension, gestational diabetes, (care of the patient on Magnesium, Insulin, Care of a patient during a PP hemorrhage, D&C, tubal ligation, care of a patient requiring a c-section. Care of a newborn that is Late preterm. Circulate in the Operating room and care of the patient in the PACU for both Spinal or General Anesthesia. Experience with scrubbing in the Operating room would be ideal, but not required.
  • Number of Beds/Cases: 10 L&D- 13 MBU
    • Job Requirements
    • 1 year of Epic experience is preferred.
    • Previous travel experience required.
    • IV insertion skills.
    • 1-year labor and delivery/perinatal background experience required, at least 2 years' experience would be preferred.
    • First-Timers Accepted: No, previous travel experience required.
