Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every

worldwide.The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for
deploying Trident Performance System (TPS) strategy; and utilize
Lean 6 Sigma Manufacturing methodology to drive operational process
improvements that support Trident Seafoods SCUBA Program (Supply
Chain Unlimited Business Acceleration). This position will develop
and execute Lean 6 Sigma projects & Kaizen events across multiple
Trident's Alaska locations. The individual will provide mentoring,
coaching and training as needed to support the use of the
Operational Excellence methodology and tools such as TPM/Lean/Six
Sigma. This position will be responsible for deploying and leading
the transformation with a goal of improved safety, quality, cost,
productivity, service, and employee engagement.This position will
be based in Trident Support Center, Seattle, WA. This hybrid
position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident
Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA.
Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and
Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday.Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks,
supervisory needs)
- Lead Zero Loss Analysis, Lean 6 Sigma projects and Kaizen
events at Alaska plant locations.
- Ensure successful Kaizen events by ensuring commitment to the
process which may include: 1) planning the Kaizen, 2) facilitating
the Kaizen, and 3) ensuring the sustainment of the
improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments and functions in
identifying and selecting projects that are aligned to key business
priorities.
- Share best practices within and across plants.
- Provide project management and governance as needed.
- Act as a change agent, systematically driving use of TPS for
continuous improvement and change throughout the operations.
- Create metric reporting.
- Ensure SCUBA savings and other KPI targets are achieved.
- Provide thought leadership within the operations and within the
OpEx Team.
- Effectively collaborate and build strong relationships with
local and enterprise teams.
- Influence local teams with the adoption of TPS.
- Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
- Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety
Policies by completing required training programs and performing
designated work activities in accordance with training and
procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety
incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with
Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.This is a salaried
exempt position with an annualized salary range of $130k to
$140k.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits

(education, years of experience, KSAs)
- At least 3+ years of cross-functional Operations and/or
Operational Excellence experience.
- Experience in successful planning, facilitation & completion of
Kaizen events & 6 Sigma projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related Technical
field.
- Experience and passion for introducing new techniques (i.e.
change agent).
- Strong leadership, communication, facilitation and
interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Analytical aptitude - ability to collect and analyze data and
think systematically.
- Ability to influence and drive change.
- Results oriented with excellent project and time management
skills.
- Business sense - ability to understand how changes will drive
the right business results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in data analysis.Preferred education and experience
- SAP experience preferred.Work environment (includes
travel/on-call):
- In-office time takes place in a typical office environment:
temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise.
While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office
space.
- Varied- from loud, wet factory environments, requiring the use
of PPE, to offices and conference rooms.
- Travel will be required and travel to remote locations at times
(can be up to 30%-50%). Travel duration may range from 2-6 weeks at
a time. Most travel is planned, project based.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and
talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk;
reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Work in factories requires the ability to climb stairs,
ladders, walk significant distances (200 meters), don and doff
PPE.
